Biography
Andy Fitze is Co-Founder of SwissCognitive - The Global AI Hub, and WhyWait Ltd., founded in 2016. He is also President of the Swiss IT Leadership Forum, as well as the Service Management Partners. Besides, Andy is member of the Board of Directors of ICTSwitzerland and SwissICT, and serves as Member of Strategic Advisory Board as well as Speaker at the Berne University of Applied Sciences Previously Andy served as Group CIO of RUAG. In this function, he was member of the extended Group Executive Board and managed information technology both strategically and operationally. Prior to joining RUAG, he was responsible for IT governance at PostFinance. He led numerous international projects during his operational activities in large companies and held various management positions in IT and technical process automation. In varied positions he was also responsible for strategy, architecture, risk, compliance and process management and IT security. With his passion for smart technologies, he advises large companies, management and board members in the overall digital transformation and gives lectures and speeches worldwide. He holds a degree in electrical engineering (HTL) and earned an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen, HSG. He won the Swiss CIO Award for Best IT Manager in Switzerland in 2017, and with joint work with Dalith Steiger, won Public Award at swissICT Awards 2017. He is also a skipper on the oceans - sailing is his great passion and provides him with a good balance for head and soul.
